Impact

The project implementation will enable the identification of solutions and create complex instruments in order to improve, with maximum efficiency, the institutional and interdisciplinary collaboration, while developing models and applied technologies for a broader spatial and temporal level, and lastly, but not least to develop, and re-evaluate the mobile and immobile cultural national patrimony (its prehistoric part). This will initiate a systematic and evidence-based discourse, exceeding the speculative and typological level that characterizes the study of pottery production in the prehistoric research in Romania. The project will bring methodological innovation and will also open new research directions, expecting a positive impact on the national and international scientific environment. The novel and highly professional approaches (mentioned above) will be applied in archaeology, and will trigger a shift in the scientific research behaviour for future investigations, that are to be expected and extended, throughout the entire area of the Cucuteni Culture, and, why not, 20 beyond it. As the proposed project has as objective the promotion of a new type of research in archaeology (with methods frequently utilised before, but rarely integrated for one purpose), we believe that it can represent a useful instrument for the archaeologist, taking into consideration the fact that it is based on a complex case study, with a lot of practical inferences and a profound interdisciplinary character
